| In his Book "American and other Drinks" published in 1878 in London is a picture of the "Mode Of Shaking Or Mixing A Cobbler, etc."
The picture definitely shows a two-part shaker with one metal part and one glass part. I could not find the name "Boston Shaker" in his book.
This is the earliest picture of this kind of shaker in my library.
